What Is Dry Needling?

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a highly effective way to quickly “deactivate” knots and help muscles relax so they can work properly.  Once one or more knots are identified as symptomatic by one of our doctors, a very thin needle is placed inside the belly of those muscles.  The needle helps get rid of the inflammation inside the muscles as well as allow fresh blood to come directly to the injury site to immediately start the healing process.  This in turn decreases pain and allows the muscles to relax, which improves your mobility and gets you back to enjoying the activities you love.

Trigger Point Dry Needling is also a great way to keep healthy muscles functioning at their best.  Regular sessions help keep muscles supple and allow you to move and feel great all the time.

Who Is Dry Needling Great For?

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a great way for anyone suffering from muscle pain to find quick relief.  If you aren’t currently experiencing pain, TDN is the perfect way to help prevent injury as well as keep your muscles relaxed and working properly.

Keeping fit is important to you and when you have a painful or tight muscle, your regular activity can come to a grinding halt. Crossfitters, runners, hikers, bikers, swimmers, tennis players – anyone who is active can get painful knots or tight muscles. Sitting a week out of the gym or the trail nursing a sore muscle doesn’t have to be your reality.

That’s The Knot can get you back to your fitness activities quickly.

Sitting at your desk or hunched over a computer can wreak havoc on your neck and back – not to mention the headaches that come along with it. We aren’t going to tell you that you should be aware of your posture and try standing more (ok, maybe we will), but we can help you stay relaxed and loose.

We know you have a job to do and a family to provide for – a quick dry needling session can get rid of your recurring headaches and that annoying back pain.

Dry Needling is perfect for any busy person. Moms or Dads chasing after busy toddlers, jet setters cramped in plane seats, college students cramming for finals. It’s amazing what stress can do to your muscles. When we get busy, our stress levels shoot through the roof and we “tense up.”

Not only is Dry Needling an effective way to keep you loose and relaxed, it only takes about 20 minutes and you are back to your life!

“I work at a desk for 8-10 hours a day and was starting to feel tightness and burning in the muscles in my forearm. Dr. Robertozzi did about 2 minutes of Trigger Point Dry Needling at 2 points with electrical stimulation. It’s been several weeks now and there still isn’t any tightness or burning. It’s a treatment I would definitely recommend.” -C.B.
